In addition to her novels Bad Marie and Twins, Marcy has published many short stories in magazines and anthologies.
“Waiting For Big Bird” is part of Forgotten Borough: Writers Come to Terms with Queens, and “Adults at Home,” the title story of Marcy’s graduate thesis, was first published in Indiana Review and then reprinted in Love Stores: A Literary Companion to Tennis and later in the online journal Fifty-Two Stories.
Marcy’s story “Whole Foods was Around the Corner” was part of Salon’s Occupy Wall Street fiction series. “Cow Juice” was published in the issue four of McSweeney’s, a gorgeous box set that is now considered a collector’s item.
Marcy’s short fiction has also been published in Five Chapters, Blip Magazine, The Alaska Quarterly Review, The New Orleans Review, and Gulf Coast. You can read many of these stories on her page at Fictionaut.
